Lithuanian company registers EU’s millionth trade mark

Lithuanian-based pharmaceutical company Valentis’ food supplement Cignon for tendons has become the millionth trade mark registered in the European Union (EU).

Lithuania was informed about that by the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), the official trade marks and designs office of the EU, reports LETA/ELTA.

The common EU trade mark and design registration system was launched in 1996, so it took 15 years to have the millionth trade mark.

Valentis is a group of pharmaceutical companies that formulate, produce and market innovative pharmaceutical preparations. The company exports to Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
