User Experience Lead — Office Job

Office.com is looking for a seasoned User Experience Designer to lead our design team. As an UX Design Lead, you will have your work featured on one of the top 30 most visited websites in the world. The Microsoft Office.com design team has an opening for a designer and leader who is passionate about design, interaction, rich media, and the web. Be at the forefront of technology, research, and user experience-surrounded by innovative and great thinking people while working for one the best companies in the world. You will own UX experiences on Office.com, TechNet, MSDN, and within the Office client and server products.

As a Web focused User Experience Design Lead, you will be responsible for driving cross-team collaboration with the world’s best user experience researchers, program managers, product planners and developers from the early stages of feature planning through implementation on the web. You will be need to think strategically, be creative and negotiate design solutions that align with business goals and user needs. Using your abilities to identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas, you will own, envision, communicate and lead the design direction of Office.com, and make our industry leading products even more successful.

Your ability to lead and enable the successful delivery of multiple complex projects simultaneously will be paired with your insight into coaching your team to become stronger in all areas of design and collaboration. You will craft the design vision & strategy and produce great results through your team.

The right candidate will be both creative and pragmatic, with an eye for accuracy and detail. She or he must be a strong conceptual designer who can think and design with usability, accessibility, and localization in mind. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to multitask on various design projects while maintaining schedules and communicating team status. You will lead a strong design team, as well as work closely with an extremely knowledgeable writing and editorial staff to deliver cohesive and succinct messaging to our customers. You will extend the Office and SharePoint brands across all our web properties and play a lead role in Microsoft Office marketing campaign development on the web.
